Paul Out!

It’s been confirmed that Club captain Paul McHale will be absent for a minimum of four to six weeks. The influential midfielder has suffered a muscle tear and will require to rest prior to any recuperation work. Speaking to the website today, Assistant Manager Joe Miller said: “Hopefully Paul can be a quick healer. He is an important player for us and his presence will be missed.”

Paul was replaced in the centre of the park by Eddie Malone on Saturday, a move that was a great success. Joe commented: “I thought Eddie was magnificent against Airdrie. We chatted to him on Friday when it became obvious that Paul was not going to make it and Eddie stepped up to the mark and performed well in an unfamiliar position for the team. He deserves great credit.”
