Diamond Geezers!

Clyde assistant manager Joe Miller was understandably delighted following the weekend’s result against Airdrie United. “It was great to get the early goal and the boys continued to battle away throughout the game.”

“The early goal gave us the confidence,” Joe continued, “and it was especially pleasing to see our strikers hit the net. We’ve been working with Alex and Tom over the past few weeks to help them gel as a partnership and Saturday gave us all great encouragement.”

At 3-0 the game looked dead and buried but Airdrie fought back. “When you hold that advantage you have to keep your composure especially when the opposition gets on top or the opposing fans get noisy. We were disappointed at losing a goal but the lads dug in and refused to be intimidated. They may be young boys but they stood up for themselves and that is important to do.”

“It was great to get the three points and now we will try and maintain that momentum after the enforced break,” Joe concluded.
