Clyde’S 1000 Tickets For Ibrox Snapped Up

Clyde’s allocation of tickets for next Tuesday’s CIS Cup tie with Rangers at Ibrox has been sold out and at last night’s Supporters’ Trust Question and Answer evening Manager Graham Roberts expressed confidence that the Bully Wee fans would light up the Govan ground with their noise and enthusiasm.

Chairman Len McGuire added that the thousand tickets allocated to Clyde were all that was available. The tie is part of the 2005-06 Rangers season ticket package which means that only 7,000 tickets were available to the general public; Clyde got 1,000 of that 7,000.

This has inevitably, and naturally, disappointed some Clyde fans but it is only fair to point out that it is the exception rather the rule for Clyde’s home support at Broadwood to exceed 1,000 supporters so Clyde‘s share of the pay-at the-gate allocation will be seen as fair by most neutral observers.

The allocation of Clyde’s share of the tickets for the Rangers tie has once again demonstrated the value of being a Clyde season ticket holder. With all but two home League fixtures still to be played, and the adult ticket price now reduced, becoming a season ticket holder remains an attractive option.
