Gerry Dunn Steps Down From The Board

Gerry Dunn has confirmed to Chairman Len McGuire his decision to resign as a director of Clyde Football Club.

“I have been on the Board since 1992,” wrote Gerry, “and it has always been my intention to step down once the conditions of the CVA had been fulfilled. Now, with the Club in excellent financial shape and a strong board in place, the time seems right. “

Gerry may have left the Board but he has informed the Chairman that he is still more than willing to offer a helping hand. “As you know, with this Club you can’t stop being a supporter (even if you want to!) so I remain available to lend my support in any way you feel is appropriate.”

Gerry passed on his good wishes to Len McGuire and the other directors for the season ahead and at the same time looked back after more than thirteen years on the Board. “It has been a great privilege to be a director of Clyde F.C. which has given me many highs as well as a few lows.”

Being a director of a club like Clyde is a seven days a week commitment. To maintain that level of involvement over such a lengthy period is remarkable and the Club is pleased to place on record its appreciation of Gerry’s unstinting effort, enthusiasm and his ever-present good humour. Thanks Gerry.
