St. Johnstone 3 V 0 Clyde

Billy Reid’s prediction of a tough, close struggle appeared to be coming true at half-time as Clyde were held to a goalless draw. However second half goals from Sheerin and two from Moore gave St Johnstone a 3-0 victory.

Speaking to the website before the clash Billy Reid described the next five matches as crucial to our season. “If we come through these relatively unscathed then we can be very pleased. Playing St Johnstone, Falkirk, Thistle and having trips to Dingwall and Dumfries will test us to the limit”.

Reid was aware of the quality of players Saints possessed and Clyde suffered at their hands this afternoon. Clyde get a chance to get back on the rails next Saturday with a home tie against Falkirk. Full match report coming soon.

The Clyde line up at Perth was:
Halliwell, Mensing*, Bollan, Wilson*, Potter, Sheridan*, Bryson, Walker, Wilford, Malone and Harty.

Clyde subs were: Conway, Balmer, Gilhaney, Bradley and Morrison.
