Preston Athletic 0 V 7 Clyde Under 19S

One of the Preston Athletic’s many youth teams provided today’s opposition in the SFA Under 19’s Youth Cup in East Lothian.

In the Battle of Prestonpans in 1745, fighting between the Hanoverians and Jacobites lasted little more than fifteen minutes. It was similarly one-sided today, with Clyde’s youngsters 4-0 up by half-time, adding three more in the second half without reply.

The scrorers were David McNaught (2), Michael Thorburn (2), Semple, Kevin Bradley and John Paul McKeever.
