Mars Can Still Be Out Of This World

Clyde boss Billy Reid spoke to the website about recent French signing Mickael Marsiglia and his absence from a starting slot in the first eleven. “Mickael came to the club with a big reputation but he has to prove his worth and so far he has simply not done enough to get a first team place. No player at Clyde is guaranteed a start and it is up to Mickael to force himself into my thoughts and grab that first team jersey”.

Mickael Marsiglia arrived at Clyde in September amidst a flurry of media attention. Marsiglia made his name when he played for Racing Club Strasbourg before moving to Olympique de Marseille for £1.75m in July 2000.However the French midfielder has struggled so far to make an impact in the first team at Broadwood.

“Mickael has shown in training that he has undoubted ability but sometimes players find it hard to adjust to the different culture and way of playing in the Scottish game. Remember Karim Kerkar and Jean Louis Valois both had previous experience in the British game” added Billy. “We’ll just have to wait and see how things develop but he is contracted until December and I am confident that he can still make an impact and a difference to the team as we challenge in the First Division”.
