Injury Worries…

Clyde boss Billy Reid has had to contend with a few injury problems as he prepares for Saturday’s home match with Queen of the South.

The biggest doubt is Scott Wilson (pictured). “Scooby”, who due to his wholehearted displays in his short time at the club has become a big favourite with the fans, is struggling with a hamstring injury. Clyde’s medical team are working round the clock to try and get him ready for Saturday but Billy will not risk him unless he is 100%. “You have to be especially careful with hamstring injuries. If Scott aggravates it, he could be laid off for a few weeks”.

Another doubt is Gary Arbuckle. The ex-Celtic forward has made a promising start to his Clyde career but is struggling with a pelvic injury that requires rest but Billy is more hopeful that the youngster will make the squad.

There is however positive news regarding Darren Sheridan. The diminutive midfielder did not suffer any reaction after playing against Partick Thistle. In his manager’s words Sheridan at one point had only a 40/60 chance of completing the game, however Darren used all his experience to get through the match. Certainly he was subdued, but Reid is confident that Darren will be more like himself against Queen of the South.
