Suspension Blow

Billy Reid tonight confirmed to the website that Clyde will not be at full strength for the weekend clash against Queen of the South.

Eddie Malone (pictured right) will serve a one match suspension due to an accumulation of disciplinary points. “It is a disappointment but part and parcel of the game. Eddie has picked up some silly bookings, and it is something we will work on, but we all have to remember that Eddie is only nineteen and is still learning the game”.

Billy though continues to be pleased with his surprise acquisition from St Johnstone. The youngster has added strength and drive to the left hand side giving defensive and attacking options to the team.

“Eddie is extremely enthusiastic and is a real winner,” Billy added. ” That is why I brought him to the Club. His attitude is tremendous and as I’ve said since day one, that is the sort of player I want at Clyde. We’ll miss him on Saturday but obviously this gives someone else an opportunity to shine and give me a selection headache next week”.
