Fourteen Days To Go…………….

Orr Kerr Dykes, the Glasgow-based insurance brokers who sponsor the “Let’s Get Personal” page in the “Clyde View”, are the latest firm to take a table at the forthcoming Celebrity Sports Dinner, organised by the Clyde Supporters’ Trust.

Such corporate support is greatly appreciated and many of the company tables like Orr Kerr Dykes will be populated by more than a sprinkling of Clyde supporters but the majority of people who will attend the Dinner will of course be Broadwood regulars.

Support for the important fund-raising Dinner, which takes place on Sunday 14 November in the St. Andrews Suite at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Bothwell Street, Glasgow, continues to grow daily but there are still a limited number of tickets available from the Trust which can be contacted in a number of ways:

Phone – 07950 912218 – just leave a message
By Post – 84 Hamilton Road, Motherwell ML1 3BY

The two speakers are certain to make the night a huge success. Ex-Clyde and Scotland boss Craig Brown can be guaranteed to evoke memories of Clyde’s last years at Shawfield, whilst Glasgow-born John Gahagan (pictured above) is so funny he even makes Jim McLean laugh!

John played for Motherwell, the club he had supported as a boy, for eleven years before moving to Cappielow. He remained with Morton for four years before hanging up his boots in 1994. A fully qualified S.F.A. coach, he then spent three very successful years as the S.F.A. Football Development Officer in Clackmannanshire.

Nowadays he travels all over Scotland sharing his hilarious experiences of playing for Ally McLeod, Jock Wallace, Davie Hay, Tommy McLean and Alan McGraw and delivering some of the best after-dinner jokes in the unique Gahagan style.

The always professional Dougie Donnelly will be the MC.

The whole evening promises to be a big night for the Bully Wee. Don’t miss it! Contact the Trust without delay.
