Reid All About The Queen’S Match
Billy Reid provided post-match comments to the website’s Cammy MacDonald after the QOS match.
“I think it’s important, where we are in the League, that we win our home games so I am obviously happy. We had to change our formation today due to suspensions and injuries but at times we did pass the ball well though we probably can pass it a bit better. But we will accept the two goals and we have kept another clean sheet, so that’s eight in ten games and we have not lost a goal in October. All credit has to go to the players for that as we defend from the front.
“Ian Harty has been fantastic this season. He has moved on from last season and works a lot harder for the team and is still chipping in with goals. It sums him up at the moment that at one point he was playing at left back today, but he has been tremendous at training as well and he will get the rewards for that.
“We have a young side and you can’t really put too many kids in at the one time. But Darren Sheridan certainly helps in the middle of the park and I thought he was outstanding again today. He hardly wasted a ball, he made his tackles, was composed, and when you do bring on the kids you need some experience round about it.
“We brought on John Paul McKeever today who is only sixteen but he is another one with a good attitude. And that bodes well for the future of the Club.
“It’s hard to say how good the team can be but we are growing as a team together. The team spirit is tremendous and I think you can see that everyone works for each other. As I keep on saying, our aim is to get as many points on the board as possible and we will see where that takes us.
