Clyde 2 V 0 Queen Of The South
Two first half goals from Ian Harty were enough to give Clyde another three points, keeping the Bully Wee in joint top place with Falkirk, whilst St. Mirren dropped two points.
Harty’s first goal came after nine minutes when, following a Craig Bryson challenge, the ball broke to Clyde’s top scorer who drilled the ball home.
Queens showed their fourth top position was well merited by creating a number of chances of their own before Clyde grabbed a second. Craig Bryson was again involved, being fouled in the box by by Garry Wood. Harty took the resultant penalty and did his usual professoional job of converting the kick.
A couple of early second half chances could have put the game beyond Queen’s reach but were not taken. After that, the game remained evenly contested for the remainder of the second half.
