Both Teams Looking For A Win

A win for Clyde over visitors St. Johnstone today would put the Bully Wee ten points ahead of the Saintees at the end of the first quarter of fixtures, a possibility no one was predicting eight League matches ago. Conversely, victory for the Fair City club will bring them right back into the leading pack.

The Perth side, like Clyde, is playing with a much-changed team from last season and it always takes time to gel but John Connolly’s men will come to Cumbernauld determined to make amends for Tuesday night’s Bell’s Cup disappointing dismissal by Falkirk and head into the second batch of fixtures with their confidence boosted.

Billy Reid has confirmed that he will make late checks on certain players but he is not expected to make many unforced changes from the side which played so well for a draw at the Falkirk Stadium last Saturday.

Clyde supporters should note that the Main Stand will be used today to accommodate both sets of supporters and the usual access arrangements will apply in such circumstances.

Clyde supporters will have the exclusive use of turnstiles D. E and F whilst turnstile C will be “Parent and up to two children” for both sets of fans. Gates A and B will be reserved for Saints fans.
