Player-Coach Gary Bollan Joins Clyde

Following the completion of transfer documentation late this afternoon, Gary Bollan has joined Clyde from Motherwell as player-coach.

The thirty-one year old Dundonian had been at Fir Park since January 2004 but injuries restricted his outings in claret and amber to just one start and three substitute appearances, an unusually unproductive period for a man who has played in two hundred and thirty-seven competitive senior games in Scotland for Dundee United (twice), Rangers, St. Johnstone and Livingstone as well as Motherwell.

Gary, who lived in Cumbernauld’s Westerwood area whilst at Ibrox, has several Under 21 caps for Scotland and has played Champions League football for Rangers. “Gary is another significant signing for Clyde, not just on the pitch but in the desssing room and on the training ground,” enthused Manager Billy Reid as the transfer was completed.
