Scottish Cup 4Th Round Draw

Clyde were paired with SPL strugglers Motherwell in tonight’s live Sky TV draw for the 4th Round of the Tennants Scottish Cup, a match that must be regarded as one of the most attractive to come out the pot.

The Bully Wee support will eagerly look forward to the Broadwood encounter, which will give Alan Kernaghan and the squad a well deserved chance to prove their ability against Premierleague opposition.

Clyde last met Motherwell over 10 years ago in 1992, when they were defeated 4-2 at Fir Park in the League Cup. The 7-0 drubbing at the same venue in the 1989/90 Scottish Cup is best forgotten also.

Another interesting fact – the last time Clyde knocked top flight opposition out of the Scottish Cup was in the 1982/83 season … coincidentally against The Well after a replay.
