Lee began his career at Queen’s Park before moving to Sunderland as a teenager. He was given his Black Cats debut by ex-Bully Wee captain Jack Ross in 2018 and made four appearances for the first team, before having two loan spells at Alloa Athletic.

Lee returned to Scotland in 2021 and signed for Queen of the South. He netted 24 times for the Doonhamers over the last three years, including a goal against The Bully Wee after just 20 seconds on the opening day of the 2022-23 season.

The forward joined The Bully Wee on a one-year deal in July 2024, and scored on his debut against Edinburgh City later that month.
