Craig started his career at then-Lowland League outfit East Kilbride, with his progression earning him a move to Clyde following our promotion to League One in 2019.

Over the next two seasons he established himself in a variety of positions across the backline and midfield, before departing for Alloa in the summer of 2021. He once again showed his versatility in his time with The Wasps, before briefly moving to Australia.

Howie returned to Scotland and signed for Clyde in December 2023, swiftly slotting into the heart of defence as the club narrowly avoided a relegation play-off. In the seasons since, he has grown into a real leader; he showed particularly impressive personal form last season, in one of the division’s stingiest defences.

Craig signed a two-year contract extension this summer, which will expire in 2028.
