Matchday Grassroots Experience

Clyde FC and Clyde FC Community Foundation are pleased to launch the Clyde FC Matchday Grassroots Experience for Under 12s grassroots football teams and youth groups at Clyde FC home matches at Hamilton Community Stadium. The experience will provide a great day out for players, coaches and parents as they get the opportunity to play on the same field as The Bully Wee!

Each team attending will:

  • Receive tickets for up to 14 players.
  • Receive two free tickets for the coaches or parent helpers.
  • Have the opportunity to walk out and take part in pre-match activities as the players enter the field.
  • Play a small-sided match on the pitch at half time in front of the Clyde FC supporters.
  • Get the experience of SPFL League 2 football up, close and personal!

The Clyde Matchday Experience is something that players, families and supporters can enjoy together. We encourage parents, relatives and friends to come along and support your team, with additional match tickets available to purchase directly from Clyde FC.

Typical Matchday Schedule

60 minutes before kick-off

  • Group arrival and registration.
  • Ticket distribution.
  • Matchday briefing.
  • Group photograph (where permitted).

15 minutes before kick-off

  • Pitchside assembly.
  • Flag-bearing or walkout activity.

First half

  • Watch the match from the Clyde FC family section.

5 minutes before half time

  • Your team will need to prepare for their half time match experience by arranging into two separate teams (bibs will be available).

Half-time

  • Once the half time whistle goes, a member of the Clyde FC or Clyde FC Community Foundation staff team will guide your players and coaches onto the pitch for the half time match.
  • The half time match will last a maximum of 10 minutes.
  • Once the Clyde FC or Clyde FC Community Foundation staff team calls a halt to the match, all players must swiftly make their way to the side of the pitch where they will be escorted back into the stand to enjoy the second half.

Second half

  • Return to seating and enjoy the remainder of the match.

Full-time

  • Autographs/pictures with players.
  • Participant departure.

All players will need to wear their club’s FULL grassroots playing kit.

No metal or plastic studs/blades football boots are to be worn. Please wear trainers (ideally astro-trainers).
