Darren Young Signs New Contract

We are delighted to announce that Darren Young has put pen to paper on a new contract to extend his time with The Bully Wee.

Darren’s deal was due to expire this summer, but has signed a two-year extension, taking him through to 2028.

Darren has been in post since October 2024 and took charge of his 75th Bully Wee game on Saturday, having guided the club to the promotion play-offs for the first time since 2019.

Darren commented:

“I’m delighted to be extending my stay here at Clyde. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club so far and feel we’ve made real progress together. I’m grateful for the support from the board and our fans, and I also want to recognise the effort of the players, staff and volunteers who work tirelessly day in, day out, to keep us driving forward. There’s a real sense of momentum around the place both on and off the park, and I’m excited to keep building, hopefully into League One and a new home in the not too distant future.”

Chairman John Taylor added:

“That Darren has committed his future to the club is great news. Since arriving, he has made a significant impact, with clear improvement and progression reflected in our place in the promotion play-offs. His leadership provides continuity and stability at an important time, and we believe he is the right person to guide the club forward in the next phase of its journey.”
