Greenock Morton 3-0 Clyde

The Bully Wee’s Premier Sports Cup campaign ended in defeat at Cappielow this afternoon as Greenock Morton cruised to a 3-0 win.

Darren Young shuffled his team again with six changes and Liam Scullion taking the captain’s armband.

The hosts took a 12th minute lead when Jay Hogarth did well to save a shot from Ali Crawford, but Kerr Robertson reacted first to the rebound and headed into the empty net.

Morton doubled their advantage in first half stoppage time just seconds after Hogarth saved from Tomi Adeloye. The ‘keeper tripped Zak Delaney and Adeloye made no mistake from the spot.

Clyde’s best chance came in the second half when Tommy Robson was played through on goal but he saw his effort saved by James Storer.

The Ton added a third goal six minutes from time, when Jackson Longridge bulleted a header into the net from a well worked corner routine.
