Bill Munro

All at the club were saddened to learn of the passing of Bill Munro yesterday.

After managing Clydebank and Airdrieonians, Bill joined The Bully Wee in September 1986 as Reserve Team Manager and helped develop numerous players on their path to the first team.

As the club prepared for the move to Broadwood, Bill took on a new role at Clyde as an SFA Community Development Coach in 1993, and oversaw several hundred youngsters training in The Bully Wee’s new Cumbernauld catchment area every week.

In the early 2000s Bill became Kit Man as the club flew high in the First Division and challenged for promotion to the SPL. He retired at the end of the 2005/06 season, having been presented with an award for 20 years service to Clyde earlier in the campaign.

The thoughts and condolences of all at the club go to Bill’s family and friends at this sad time.
