Associate Director Appointment
The club is delighted to welcome back David Halliday as an Associate Director. David previously served on the board in 2022 but, due to personal circumstances, he had to stand down shortly after being co-opted. However the door was always open for his return when his situation changed.
David is a lifelong Clyde supporter who has extensive experience in business development in the private and public sector and this has included working with Aberdeen Football Club. He has been appointed as an Associate Director as this provides the best work life balance for him and his family. It also enables him to fully concentrate on a specific remit of the club’s commercial activity. David’s primary role will be implementation of the club’s new commercial plan of which he has been an integral part of developing as we review this area. This plan will be shared with club owners shortly.
Gordon Thomson commented:-
“We have always kept in touch with David and I am delighted that he is able to return. David’s business experience and knowledge is an asset for the board in an area that is a priority for us. As stated before we want to return to League One stronger and with an infrastructure around the club that is capable of progressing ahead of our peers. David’s appointment is another positive step in that direction.”
