The club can provide an update on Rico Quitongo following his injury during Friday night’s game against Annan Athletic
The left-back suffered a fracture of his fibula and underwent a successful operation yesterday.
Rico spoke to the official website and passed on a message to the fans:-
“I want to say a huge thank you to all the supporters, staff and players for the support they’ve given to me and my family who were in attendance on Friday, and also for the love they’ve shown me since I joined the club.
“In particular I want to give a special mention to Alannah [MacPherson, Sports Therapist], for coming with me to the hospital and keeping me calm and relaxed for the full way, even though I accidentally hit her on the face!
“I was hugely hurt watching the second half unfold in the ambulance on my way to hospital and I’m sad I couldn’t do more for the club but I have loved my time here on loan and Clyde will always have a place in my heart.
“I also just want to clarify that Willie Gibson was trying to get the medical staff on to support me, and he came to visit me and spent time with me in hospital after the match.”
All at the club would like to thank Rico for his efforts for Clyde during his loan spell and wish him all the very best in his recovery.
