Swift Appointed Assistant Manager

The club is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Swift to the role of Assistant Manager.

Swift, 42, enjoyed a long playing career, most notably with Stranraer in the mid-2000s where he played a key role in securing back-to-back promotions from the Third to the First Division.

After hanging up his boots he went into management with junior outfit Kilbirnie Ladeside in 2012 and spent four-and-a-half years at Valefield Park.

In 2017 he was appointed manager of Lowland League side BSC Glasgow and guided them to 3rd, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishes in the table, whilst also reaching the last 16 of the Scottish Cup in 2020.

Stephen took over the reins at Stenhousemuir in April 2021 before departing Ochilview in December, after leading The Warriors to a fifth place finish in cinch League 2 last campaign; his only full one in charge.

Swift has attended training this week and fills the Assistant position, which had been vacant since Jim Duffy’s arrival, until the end of the season.
