NEW SIGNING: Darren Hynes

The club is pleased to announce the signing of defender Darren Hynes on an 18-month contract.

The right-back, who turns 24 today, came through the academy at Greenock Morton and made 37 appearances for the Cappielow club before departing earlier this month.

Jim Duffy, who worked with Darren during his time as manager at Morton and handed him his senior debut in 2018, added:-

“I’m delighted Darren has agreed to join us. He’s still a young player but has been involved in the Morton first team for the last few seasons at a good level in the Championship.

“He’ll give us a good option at right-back and can also play in the centre of defence and midfield and will add competition to the squad.

“He is also keen to join; sometimes it can be difficult to attract players in our position in the league right now but Darren wants to come and be part of this challenge, and that’s exactly the mentality we want in the dressing room.”
