PREVIEW: Clyde v Dumbarton

The Bully Wee take a break from league action tomorrow evening as they welcome Dumbarton to New Douglas Park in a 3rd round Scottish Cup tie.

The Sons currently sit top of cinch League 2 after an impressive start to the season, and include ex-Clyde favourites Martin McNiff and Ally Love in their squad.

Following his ankle injury last week Ross Cunningham joins Ryan Mullen, Andy Rodden and Conner Duthie on the sidelines. Barry Cuddihy and Ross Lyon could return to the squad as they battle back to fitness, whilst Joshua Bradley-Hurst will be included again with his loan recall being extended for another seven days.

Jim Duffy spoke to the official website in the buildup to the match:-

“Since coming in the attitude of the players has been magnificent and their work ethic is outstanding. All I can ask for as a manager is for the team to give me everything and they’ve certainly done that in the two games so far.

“Dumbarton are doing very well in League 2 and will be brimming with confidence. I’m sure they fancy themselves but we just have to approach the game with the same mentality as we have done recently, and if we do that we can compete with anyone. These games should excite players; you want to be in cup for as long as you possibly can and there is a chance to make yourself a hero in this competition.”
