PREVIEW: FC Edinburgh v Clyde
The Bully Wee return to action tomorrow with a trip to face FC Edinburgh at the new Meadowbank Stadium. The side from the capital sit in 5th place in the cinch League One table, having lost both of their home league games so far, but have picked up maximum points on the road.
It will be the first meeting of the clubs since the 2019 League One playoff semi-final when Clyde triumphed 4-0 on aggregate. FC Edinburgh, who changed their name from Edinburgh City in the summer, have ex-Clyde players Mark Docherty and Kieran MacDonald in their squad.
Danny Lennon expects to have the same injury concerns as last Saturday, with Barry Cuddihy and Paul Kennedy both continuing to recover from knocks picked up a fortnight ago. Conner Duthie is also ruled out after sustaining an injury in our opening league match. The winger underwent precautionary tests which revealed the requirement for an operation on an unrelated condition. Once this is carried out Conner hopes to return playing in the near future. All at the club wish him a speedy recovery.
One player who will be in contention though and is added to the squad is Steven Thicot after the French defender’s work permit was approved this morning.
