Pre-Season Update

Work is continuing at the club to prepare for the new season. Danny Lennon has already secured some early signing targets and positive conversations are ongoing with others. The upcoming closed door bounce games will give the manager further opportunities to run the rule over potential squad additions.

The squad’s pre-season schedule is as follows:

  • 21st June – Gala Fairydean Rovers at New Douglas Park (closed door)
  • 25th June – Whickham at New Douglas Park (closed door)
  • 28th June – Partick Thistle at New Douglas Park (closed door)
  • 2nd July – Fauldhouse United at Parkview (2.30pm – open to supporters)

Closed door games are used by managers of both sides as training matches and will feature a number of trialists. Due to the informal nature of the fixtures, there will be no updates on these matches via official club channels.

The competitive action kicks off on 9th of July with a trip to face Hibernian at Easter Road in the Premier Sports Cup. Hibs have informed the club that tickets for the tie will go on sale next week and we will post advance ticket purchase and price details when available.

Behind the scenes; club staff and volunteers have been working hard to prepare for our first season at Hamilton. The club office will move to New Douglas Park over the next few weeks with plans to have fully vacated Broadwood by mid July. Matchday volunteers met last week for a tour of the new facilities and plans are well underway to provide a much improved matchday experience for all supporters attending games at New Douglas Park. Details of hospitality and match sponsorship packages will be published in the coming days. New home and away tops have been received from Puma by RJM Sports and will be released for sale in the coming weeks.

The Clyde FC Community Foundation continues to deliver outreach projects over the summer, including a new programme focused on men’s mental health and coaching sessions within North Lanarkshire primary schools. Bookings are now being taken for the always popular Summer Camps held at Chryston High School, and can be booked through the Ticket Store.

Season Passes are still available to purchase online by clicking here. Supporters are reminded that 25th June is the last day to sign up to pay in 10 monthly instalments. Sign up today and the first instalment will be taken on 1st July. All supporters who have committed to a Season Pass by 25th of June will be entered in the draw to win a bottle of limited edition Clyde FC Whisky.

This is a huge season in the history of our football club as we take the first step on our way to a permanent home of our own. Thank you for your continued support.
