PREVIEW: Falkirk v Clyde

Clyde travel to Falkirk in cinch League 1 action this Boxing Day.

The Bully Wee haven’t had much success against the Bairns this season, losing both of the previous encounters against them going down 3-0 at The Falkirk Stadium and 3-1 in the most recent clash at Broadwood.

Clyde go into this match knowing that a win will take them above the hosts in the league. Falkirk sit 6th on 22 points while Clyde are on 20 points in 8th. Both teams had their last games abandoned due to fog.

Danny Lennon expects to continue having some players unavailable due to injury, and the manager spoke to the official website ahead of the match but first commented on the unfortunate fact that due to new restrictions there won’t be any Clyde supporters inside the stadium:-

“Obviously everybody’s health and safety is the priority, it’s such an important time of the year. It’s a bit of a blow and a set back not having the fans at this game as we’ll certainly miss the Bully Wee faithful but we know that they’ll be supporting us from wherever they’re watching the game, and we’ll still see some of them at our home games.

“We’re going to a very difficult venue, we’ll give absolutely everything that we have to try and get a positive result for the supporters that can’t be there. We have worked extremely hard to try and keep the momentum going, we know up until Martin Rennie came in that Falkirk were a wee bit vulnerable, and we hope to try and keep them in that same frame of mind but to do that we have to bring our best for the full 90 minutes.”
