PREVIEW: Clyde v East Fife
Clyde return to Broadwood after back to back away matches as East Fife make the journey to Cumbernauld.
The game at New Bayview earlier in the season ended in a 2-0 win with Ross Cunningham scoring both goals. East Fife sit in 10th place, 2 points below the Bully Wee going into this important cinch League 1 encounter as a win could see the visitors leapfrog Clyde in the table.
Clyde will be looking to build upon a clean sheet against Queen’s Park and two draws on the bounce. Danny Lennon expects to have the same team that drew 0-0 at Firhill last week available.
The Clyde manager spoke to the official website ahead of the game:-
“The last couple of weeks have shown a number of pleasing things to build upon, but there is still a lot of hard work to be done in front of us. We face an East Fife team who seem more charged, so we will need to be aware of them, the most important thing is that we continue to work hard.
“ I thought the chances we created last week were the two best chances of the game, with Morgaro’s shot and the penalty, so you come away thinking it was maybe 2 points dropped. We’re looking forward to a game against an opponent who always provide such a tough test, but we have the advantage of our home ground and hopefully we can make that count.”
”It was nice to get a couple of games on grass, and the fans were fantastic in the past two games, but we’re back home now and their backing at Broadwood is always immense.”
