Cove Rangers 3-0 Clyde

The Bully Wee’s poor run of form continued this afternoon with a defeat at the hands of Cove Rangers.

Danny Lennon made three changes to his side with Marky Munro, Kevin Nicoll and Ally Love coming in for Conrad Balatoni, Barry Cuddihy and Euan Deveney.

Clyde had an early penalty claim waved away after Ally Love appeared to be impeded just inside the box.

David Goodwillie came close to opening the scoring after cutting inside from the left wing and unleashing a shot from distance, which rattled off the crossbar.

At the other end Neil Parry showed good reactions to save shots from Jamie Masson and Fraser Fyvie.

Cove took the lead right before the interval following a corner. The ball was kept alive and it eventually made it’s way to Conor Scully at the back post, and he slotted beyond Parry.

The hosts doubled their advantage six minutes after the restart. A low cross was fizzed into the feet of Jamie Masson and he fired the ball into the corner of the net.

Cove added a third goal in the final minute. Robbie Leitch saw his shot saved by Parry, but the rebound fell kindly to him and he headed into the empty net.
