NEW SIGNING: Marky Munro

The club is pleased to announce the signing of right-back Marky Munro on a one-year contract.

The 20-year-old made 13 appearances for The Bully Wee during the second half of last season, before attempting to pursue a full-time deal over the summer. He returned to Broadwood to train with the club recently, and goes straight into the squad for this afternoon’s match against Montrose.

Danny Lennon said:-

“Marky was someone we were very keen to keep, but his ambition was to get full-time football. Unfortunately for him it didn’t pan out, but it now gives us the opportunity to bring him back to the club.

“He came in at a very difficult time in the season last year and acquitted himself very well. We’re looking for him to bring the terrific energy that he has, and with the games and experience he has under his belt now he will help us. He is a very, very good defender and we need to have players who perform well without the ball, and Marky offers that.”
