Brian McCammick Cup 2021

The popular Fans v Fans match returned this year, as the two teams ‘Bully Wee’, managed by Danny Lennon and Alan Moore’s ‘Gypsy Army’ played for the Brian McCammick Cup.

The managers both prepared their sides with a team talk, and gave their thanks to all the fans for their support while games have been played behind closed doors. Both sides then warmed up on the Broadwood pitch before kick off.

An excellent and well-spirited match took place, with the final score ending 5-2 to Danny Lennon’s ‘Bully Wee’ team at full time.

Taylor Wilson, Mitchell Tweed, Jay Campbell and Dean McKirdy (2) got the goals for the winning side, whereas Ed Meechan netted a double either side of the half time break for the ‘Gypsy Army’.

After the game, the trophy was lifted by Danny Lennon and his team, before both managers picked a man of the match for either side. The man of the match awards went to Hunter Miller and Dom Jack.

We would like to say a massive thank you again to Danny and Allan for their excellent contribution to what was a great day enjoyed by all involved.
