PREVIEW: Partick Thistle v Clyde
Clyde’s League 1 campaign continues tonight with a short trip to Firhill to face old rivals Partick Thistle.
The Bully Wee won the first clash between the sides on the opening day of the season, as an Ally Love strike proved to be the difference in a 1-0 win at Broadwood.
Midfielder Michael McGlinchey will be available for selection tonight, after missing out against Falkirk at the weekend.
Danny Lennon spoke to the official website ahead of the game:-
“We’re still in the crazy schedule of three matches a week and none of us have ever experienced playing matches like this before – and probably never will again. My outlook in football is to learn from new experiences and use them to make you better moving forwards.
“The challenges we face playing this many matches are numerous; we don’t have the same amount of preparation time, we don’t have training and there’s the squad rotation to keep it fresh and avoid injuries. The positives are that everybody will get a chance to play and get their opportunity. We’ve done well enough in the past few weeks and, as players and coaches, we continue to do all that we can to keep the positive momentum of this wonderful club going.
“We continue to miss the supporters week on week. If ever we needed the 12th man it would be now while we’re digging deep. We know regardless wherever the fans are watching the game from that they’ll be behind us. We continue to encourage them to stay safe. I hope they enjoy tonight’s game and hope we’ll be together again soon.”
