PREVIEW: Clyde v Cove Rangers
Clyde return to League 1 duty again tomorrow and, after five consecutive games on the road, it’s a return to Broadwood to face Cove Rangers.
The match is, of course, being played behind closed doors. Season Card holders have access to the Clyde FC Live stream via their card balance integration.
All other supporters of both clubs can purchase a pay-per-view ticket for £12. Click here for full details.
Please remember that the match has a slightly earlier than usual kick-off time of 7pm.
The Bully Wee won the previous match between the two sides in December in dramatic fashion, with a 90th minute goal earning a 3-2 victory.
Danny Lennon will have the same squad that won at Ayr United to choose from and he could even have Tom Lang available for selection again, after the defender suffered a head injury away to Montrose.
The Clyde manager spoke to the official website ahead of the game, starting with an update on Tom:-
“Tom is doing well. He’s had his stitches out and his head gear has now arrived so I’m hoping, all going well, that he’ll be available for selection for the match tomorrow.”
On the visit of second placed Cove, Danny continued:-
“It’s great to be playing at home again after five away games… and what a week it’s been on the road. We certainly know that we face a Cove side challenging at the top end of the table and we are ready to fight for that valuable three points. We totally understand that Cove are well organised and they like to get the ball down to play – that’s something we’re very much aware of.
“The most frustrating thing to come out of the last eight days is that we’ve had no time to work on anything on the training ground that we’d like to. Instead, we have to do that during games.
“I am incredibly proud of the players for what they achieved on Saturday. Their solidarity, commitment, attitude and character was through the roof. How well we’ve recovered from that will be shown when the game begins, but we know that we can’t bring anything less to the pitch than we did on Saturday.”
