Robert Chebe

The club was extremely saddened to learn of the death of supporter, Robert Chebe yesterday.

Robert followed The Bully Wee as a season ticket holder from a young age and, despite some difficult seasons on the pitch, he was always excited to attend matches at Broadwood, with a keen interest in all of the players who pulled on a Clyde jersey – although he did always wonder why the club didn’t sign Messi or Ronaldo to help achieve promotion!

As he got a bit older, Robert started attending away matches also, often with the Glasgow Branch and travelling to all corners of Scotland with nothing but positivity towards all things Clyde.

Robert was well liked and respected by all who knew him, who say it was a pleasure to attend matches with him, remembering in particular his “massive” smile which shone through as he enjoyed watching and cheering on The Bully Wee.

The club’s thoughts and condolences go to Robert’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
