PREVIEW: Clyde v Airdrieonians

Clyde are in Boxing Day action tomorrow, as Airdrie make the short trip to Broadwood Stadium for a League 1 clash.

The match is, of course, being played behind closed doors due to the current Covid-19 situation. Season Card holders have access to the Clyde FC Live stream via their card balance integration.

The Diamonds won the first meeting between the sides in 2020-21, with a 5-0 victory at the Penny Cars Stadium in November.

The Bully Wee are expected to have the same squad available for selection as last week’s match at Cove Rangers.

Danny Lennon spoke to the official website ahead of the game:-

“We’re looking to build on what was a good performance last Saturday and a very valuable three points, against a really good side. We’re looking to try and get consistency now, which I’m honest enough to say is what we need to improve on.

“We know it’s going to be a challenge on Saturday, we took a sore one off Airdrie in our last meeting and we’re deeply hurt by that.

“We know the challenges that are going to come upon us, but the good thing now is we’ve managed to have a run of a couple of games and the players are looking good. We’re creating good opportunities and on Saturday we’ll be looking to put everything we’ve been working on into action and bring our best on the day, for what would be a very important three points.”
