John Divers

All at the club were saddened to hear of the passing of former player, John Divers this week.

John joined The Bully Wee in November 1961 from Hamilton Accies, in time to make a notable impact as the team progressed towards winning the Second Division Championship at the end of season 1961-62. John contributed with a remarkable 13 goals from 13 league games that season.

The following season his appearances were very limited, but as was his forte he marked his last game with a goal. In a total of 17 competitive matches for Clyde, John scored a fine tally of 14 goals, before he returned to Hamilton in January 1963.
