John Steps Down from SLO Role
Supporter Liaison Officer John Anderson has confirmed his decision to step down from his role ahead of the start of the new season.
The Banknock based Bully Wee fan stepped into the role during season 2016-17, to comply with the changing requirements of the SFA Club Licensing system.
John said:-
“It has been an honour to be able to represent the club as its SLO. I would like to thank the fans, volunteers, staff and players for all their support during my time in the role. Being a volunteer is a huge commitment on your personal time, time I am no longer able to commit to the role. I wish my successor all the best.”
Clyde Chairman, John Taylor added:-
“John stepped into the role at a challenging and transitional time for the club. Over the period, and with John’s input, we managed to improve our matchday organisation, also achieving a better understanding between club and fans.
“I am personally extremely grateful for the support John has given me behind the scenes and he can be proud of the part he played in delivering a highly successful Scottish Cup event against Celtic not long before the current lockdown.
“In many ways, the role of Supporter Liaison Officer is one of the most difficult at a football club, and John’s experience will be missed. He was good enough to come to me recently and explain his decision, giving the club the time to recruit a successor.”
