John Kincaid
Everyone at the club was saddened to learn of the death of lifelong supporter John William Kincaid, who passed away this week, aged 76.
John was most recently living in Oban and although latterly his health prevented him from attending matches, he continued to closely follow the fortunes of The Bully Wee.
In contacting the club, John’s stepdaughter, Kelie, told of his childhood story of attending the tragic match between Clyde and Celtic at Shawfield in 1957, when part of the boundary wall collapsed. John was thankfully lifted to safety by one of the players that day.
Kelie also noted that John will be leaving us wrapped in his beloved Clyde scarf and with his Clyde badge in his hand.
The club’s thoughts and condolences go to Kelie, John’s wife Janice, children Rachel and Cameron and the rest of his family and friends at this sad time.
