Harry Stewart

Everyone at the club was saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong supporter, Harry Stewart.

Harry, also known as Rae, passed away at home on Saturday 2nd May, aged 88.

Throughout his life following The Bully Wee, Harry had the joy of witnessing two Scottish Cup wins at Hampden, in 1955 and 1958. His favourite Clyde player was wing half Jimmy Campbell, who he insisted should have been awarded more than one cap for Scotland.

The last match he attended was the Scottish Cup tie against Celtic in February.

Harry’s funeral will be held on Monday 11th May. The service is private, however the funeral party will be passing Shawfield Stadium at approximately 10.15am, with the intention to stop for a short time to allow a piper to play.

The club’s thoughts and condolences go to Harry’s son, Craig and the rest of his family and friends at this sad time.
