Petkov Loan Ends
The club can confirm that Alex Petkov‘s time at Clyde has now ended, as per the agreed end date of the loan transfer from Heart of Midlothian.
Alex, a Bulgarian under-21 internationalist, made a total of 15 appearances for The Bully Wee during his loan spell, scoring one goal against Airdrie in December.
Speaking after yesterday’s match, Danny Lennon said:-
“We did ask if we could keep Alex for a longer period, but Hearts have said that they want him back. Whether that will change in the future remains to be seen.
“Alex did exceptionally well and has really come on during his time at the club. We’d like to thank him for everything he’s done in a Clyde jersey and I think that we have been good for him as well. I’d like to see him go back to Hearts and make a difference for them at first team level now.”
In other first team news, Liam Allison has left the club by mutual consent. Liam joined the squad in August on amateur terms and featured in five matches. Everyone at Clyde wishes him well in the future.
