PREVIEW: Airdrieonians v Clyde
Clyde’s Ladbrokes League 1 campaign continues tomorrow with a match against Airdrie at the Penny Cars Stadium.
It’s the second meeting of the sides this season, following a closely-fought 3-2 win for The Diamonds in the Betfred Cup last month.
For The Bully Wee, Declan Fitzpatrick is doubtful after picking up a knock in Tuesday night’s win over Motherwell Colts in the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup.
Speaking to the official website this evening, Danny Lennon said:-
“I was really pleased with the players that came in on Tuesday night and contributed to a very professional performance overall. One of them was Liam Allison on his debut, who did really well, with bigger tests ahead for him.
“We’ve got a group of young players who are working hard and relishing the challenges of a new league, which is the same for everyone connected to the club. As I said last weekend, I thought we started well against Raith Rovers, but we lost horrible goals and that was very costly.
“Our match against Airdrie last month was similar to much of our pre-season, with good points and lessons learned during the 90 minutes. What we’re working towards now is more consistency.”
