2003 Team Set for Divisional Final
This Sunday (19th May) the Clyde Community Foundation 2003 team will take part in the Divisional Cup Final against Knightswood BC.
The match takes place at Stenhousemuir’s Ochilview Park with a 6pm kick-off and all supporters are welcome to attend and cheer the boys on.
The young Bully Wee side came through a tough group section, which included their cup final opponents, with both teams finishing on 18 points. After being declared as group winners by the toss of a coin, Clyde faced local rivals Cumbernauld Colts in the semi-final, eventually winning on penalties after the game finished 2-2 after extra-time.
Heach coach of the team, George Innes said:-
“The boys have made great strides since coming in and training twice a week as part of the Project Braver initiative. This has included input from Danny Lennon, Allan Moore and Chris Fahey with several of the boys being brought in to train with the first team. They’ve also been utilising the Broadwood gym to build up their strength and conditioning.
“We would love to see as many fans as possible show up on Sunday to cheer on the boys and hopefully see them lift their first silverware of the season.”
Admission prices are; adults £3, concessions £1. Kiosk facilities will be available.
