Great Start for Clyde Ladies

The recently formed Clyde Ladies team has enjoyed an excellent start to its new journey as members of the Scottish Women’s Football League.

The team, operating under the Clyde Foundation, has entered the SWFL Division 2 – Central/West league.

After five matches, the ladies have registered an unbeaten start to the league campaign and currently sit in second place in the table. They also enjoyed a good run in the League Cup, narrowly losing 3-2 to Pollok at the quarter-final stage earlier this month.

Manager David McGoldrick said:-

“Its fair to say that so far we have exceeded our expectations, especially as we are a new team this season.

“We as a group have been working away, developing the team and putting together our backroom staff. So far things have been progressing well.”
