PREVIEW: Clyde v Stirling Albion

Clyde’s Ladbrokes League 2 campaign continues tomorrow, with the first of three consecutive home matches at Broadwood, against near neighbours Stirling Albion.

The Binos are currently in sixth place in the table and aiming to close the gap to the play off zone. They earned a 1-1 draw in the clubs’ last meeting in Cumbernauld, in November.

For The Bully Wee, Tom Lang will serve the second and final match of his suspension tomorrow, but Barry Cuddihy is expected to return after a hamstring problem. Kevin Nicoll continues to be ruled out following a broken collarbone, but is making good progress in his recovery and has commenced light training.

Speaking to the official website today, Danny Lennon said:-

“It’s no surprise that we want a reaction to last week’s defeat at Elgin. It’s important we get back to the form we were in for such a long period of time before that.

“We’re only looking forward now and nothing changes for us. We want to finish as high as we possibly can in the league and we need to start winning as many points as possible to do that.

“We’ve got a busy week ahead, but at the moment I’m only looking at Stirling Albion and what we need to do to get the result that we want.

“I urge our supporters to have another big reaction and show the unity that I talked about in my statement on Monday. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic at the Edinburgh City match and exactly what we need to push forward together.”
