PREVIEW: Clyde v Elgin City

The Bully Wee host Elgin City at Broadwood tomorrow night, in a rearranged Ladbrokes League 2 match.

It’s only ten days since the sides last met at Borough Briggs, a match which the Black and Whites won 2-1 to end Clyde’s long unbeaten run. However, The Bully Wee came out on top in the other two meetings of the 2018-19 campaign.

Defender Tom Lang returns tomorrow following suspension, with no other changes expected to the Clyde squad after Saturday’s 3-1 win over Stirling Albion.

Speaking to the official website this evening, Danny Lennon said:-

“I thought in the end on Saturday it was a good three points. We were better in the second half in terms of being more composed on the ball and creating more chances. Their ‘keeper did very well or we might have got more goals.

“The fans got behind us yet again and I’ve got to say it was a great response by Clyde FC as a whole, following a difficult weekend previously.

“The boys’ attitude is first class and it’s one of the best dressing rooms I’ve worked with in football. They give everything every week and I know that they can continue to learn, move forward and take us to where we want to be as a club.

“We’ve got no qualms in saying that Elgin were deserved winners at Borough Briggs last weekend, so we need to make sure that doesn’t happen again tomorrow by bringing our best to the match in all areas.”
