David Steps Down
The club can announce that David Wiseman has decided to step down from his position on the Board of Directors of Clyde.
David became a director in 2016 and assumed responsibility for corporate governance within the club.
David announced his decision at last week’s AGM, stating that despite other external Board and personal commitments, he would continue to support the Clyde Board and the Club in any way that he could.
To that end, David has already agreed to continue serving on the Child Protection and Wellbeing group within the club, where his knowledge and governance experience has, and will be, invaluable in assisting the club achieve the increasing compliance demands in this area.
Clyde chairman, Norrie Innes said:-
“As chair, my early focus and priorities have been in the areas of most need and what I could best influence. To allow me to do this I had to have the underpinning trust that the Club’s regulatory, statutory and governance matters were in good and safe hands.
“David was ‘on this’ with Gordon Thomson and he, at all times, demonstrated a selfless commitment to making sure the Club was not only on the right side in this area, but ahead in seeking best practice – also dovetailing with the Foundation’s requirements.
“David has pledged to continue acting as volunteer for the Club and the Foundation and for this we should be immensely grateful. I wish him well in the future and I know that he will continue to help those around him to be good and strong!”
