PREVIEW: Clyde v Stirling Albion

Clyde host local rivals Stirling Albion at Broadwood in Ladbrokes League 2 tomorrow.

Both teams will be looking to build on positive results last week, with The Bully Wee winning at Edinburgh City and The Binos getting their first victory under new manager Kevin Rutkiewicz; a convincing home scoreline against Berwick Rangers.

The Clyde squad is expected to be similar again, with no fresh injury worries to report.

Speaking ahead of the match, Danny Lennon said:-

“Playing the team at the top of the league can sometimes bring the best out of you and that’s what we got last week at Edinburgh, ending their 12-game run. The scoreline would have been more pronounced, had we been sharper in front of goal. The performance and result were a big step in the right direction but, again, there is still room for improvement.

“We are capable of doing better and we must do so in the coming weeks, starting tomorrow. We need to get back up into top gear in terms of our decision making, our pressing and our passing. When we do that, we will string together a positive run that will get us back to where we want to be.

“Kevin Rutkiewicz got his first managerial charge off and running last week with a convincing win over Berwick. They have quality players and we know that we will have to be at our best to get the result we want.”
