PREVIEW: Queen’s Park v Clyde
The 2018-19 Ladbrokes League 2 season continues tomorrow, with a Glasgow derby match at Hampden Park.
The Spiders and The Bully Wee have enjoyed a different run of form in recent weeks, with managerless Queen’s Park looking to change a sequence of four matches without a win, compared to the maximum points secured by Clyde over the same period.
For Danny Lennon tomorrow, Kieran Hughes remains the only player unavailable as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury.
Speaking to the official website, the Clyde manager said:-
“It’s always nice to play at Hampden. It gives players the opportunity to play at the National Stadium and for some of ours, tomorrow will be their first experience of it. Other than the surroundings though, it’s no different to any other league game and nothing changes in the preparation.
“Our aim is always to improve on our previous performance, no matter what the result was. We’ve done our due diligence on Queen’s Park and we respect them as we do with all of our opponents.
“There’s always a wee bit of added edge in a local derby match and we want to give our supporters the bragging rights. We can achieve that by being in it together again – I thought our fans were fantastic last week, even at 2-0 down, and the players responded to that.”
Admission prices are; adults £14, senior citizens £5, concessions (student/unemployed/under-12) £3. Clyde supporters should use Gates 105 – 108 at the South West corner of the stadium.
